Not Only Do You Get Arrested for Laughing at Jeff Sessions, You also Get Arrested for Asking Tom Price a Question

Why hasn’t Donald Trump been arrested multiple times? He is an unscrupulous businessman who has bribed numerous government officials. He violated immigration law when he operated his “modeling agency.” He has been accused of sexual assault by several women. He violates ethics laws daily by operating businesses in foreign lands, including Russia. And Trump is guilty of collusion with Vladimir Putin during the campaign which is by definition ‘treason.’

Desiree Fairooz was arrested, tried, and convicted for chuckling during white supremacist Jeff Sessions confirmation hearings. Dan Haymen, a 30-year veteran news producer and reporter has now been arrested. His egregious offense was attempting to ask Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price a question.

Heyman was following Price and spin doctor Kellyanne Conway down a hallway in the Capitol building in West Virginia. He was attempting to ask Price if under Trumpcare domestic violence would be labeled a ‘preexisting condition.’

“This is my job, this is what I’m supposed to do,” Heyman said, according to the Washington Post. “I think it’s a question that deserves to be answered. I think it’s my job to ask questions and I think it’s my job to try to get answers.”

While attempting to get an answer, a capitol policeman approached Heyman, handcuffed him, and placed him under arrest for the “willful disruption of state government process.” I couldn’t make this s**t up. He was charged and is out on $5,000 bail.

“By asking Tom Price and Kellyanne Conway whether domestic violence was considered a preexisting condition under President Trump’s health care proposal, Dan Heyman was doing his job as a reporter,” the ACLU of West Virginia said. “Today was a dark day for democracy. But the rule of law will prevail. The First Amendment will prevail.”

The American people have a Constitutional right to hold their government officials accountable. The press has a duty to keep those who represent us honest. Until our nation has officially become fascist, all of us must resist the autocratic rule of the despot who is now defiling the White House; at least occasionally.

The Capitol policeman should have arrested Price. But, sadly, he was never charged for manipulating the prices of stocks he purchased by attempting to push through legislation in the House which would increase their value.

Let’s see; asking a justifiable question of a corrupt public official, or committing criminal violations while an elected official; which one should be punished?
