“The minimum wage should be $20 an hour, ‘neoliberalism is tyranny’ and the Republican Party is ‘dedicated to destroying human life,’” renowned academic and activist Noam Chomsky told RT in an extended interview.
Noam Chomsky has been one of my heroes for many years. When I say ‘one of my heroes,’ that number is a very small handful. I don’t believe that celebrities or athletes should be heroes; only men and women with strong principles, morals, and ideas to better the lives of all people deserve the ultimate form of respect.
“We are headed toward a cliff and the worst cliff we are headed toward is due to market systems,” the linguist and philosopher said.
Capitalism has failed the working class. For more than 20 years, Republicans have prioritized ‘profit before people.’ Professor Chomsky is 88 years old with the wisdom of many lifetimes. He is an advocate for the people, not the government.
The truth is that all governments are evil, and our own has become the worst in the world in just over five months. With President Obama in office, the evil attempts by Lyin Paul Ryan, and Mitch ‘the traitor’ McConnell were controlled. With Trump in the White House, their destructive agenda is ‘full speed ahead.’
Under Trump and his pathetic party, our nation stands alone. One by one our allies are removing themselves from their close relationships with America. Our illegitimate president is no longer the leader of the free world. Meanwhile, he is increasing the tension between the United States and China, placing our nation in great danger.
The real culprit in America’s decline is the entire Republican Party. Trump’s vile agenda could not be accomplished without the full consent of GOP politicians.
“The position of the savage wing of American capitalism, the Republican Party, is really striking, they are really racing toward a precipice. Has there really been an organization in history that has dedicated itself to the destruction of human life?” said Chomsky, who has been a constant critic of Trump. “The US is racing toward the precipice, while the world is trying to do something.”
Be very afraid, my fellow Americans. America’s reputation, it’s morals, and it’s principles are experiencing a 180 degree turn under the control of Republicans. In reality, they are “Republicans in name only.” They cannot be compared to the once Grand Old Party I knew in my early years. This is a group of extremists whose personal ambitions take precedence over the needs and wishes of the American people.
