The very thought of the freaks who committed an act of treason openly and without punishment pisses me off.
During Trump’s four very long years pretending to be our president, I watched two actions of pure fascism on television. On June 1, 2020, Trump and his fascist entourage marched from the White House to St. John’s Episcopal Church. A crowd of protesters was dispersed with rubber bullets and tear gas. This was a blatant violation of their first amendment rights. I was ashamed of my government and disgusted with the orange buffoon who continued to violate the Constitution without repercussions
.
However, that was nothing compared to January 6th of this year. Trump and then Mo Brooks stood just outside of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and ordered Trump’s “people” to march to the Capitol Building and halt the certification of the Electoral College vote. The riot was intended to capture and kill Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi, among others. The attempted coup was ugly, embarrassing and a failure. A horde of fascist rioters tried to destroy our democracy, and that is and should be punishable by death.
