“I thought it was a sad night,” said Trump campaign adviser Boris Epshteyn in a video critiquing the second night of the convention. “They sort of rolled out the losers.”
This is what the loser in the White House had to say about the second night of the Democratic Convention. This confirms that it was great, and excited voters who watched.Let’s be honest here. The biggest celebrity supporting Trump openly is “Chachi.” Last night two former presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, superstar Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and ended with Stacey Abrams.
Trump is not able to encourage a single former president to ‘sing his praises.’ George W. Bush does not support Trump. In fact, several members of his administration have formed an anti-Trump group calling themselves “43 Alumni for Joe Biden.”
Meanwhile, the GOP, (the once Grand Old Party, which is non-existent today), offered this tweet in response.
“Pres. Trump has spent his presidency righting the wrongs of Bill Clinton & Joe Biden’s record of failed policies. Biden & Clinton rammed through NAFTA which resulted in 850k American jobs lost. Meanwhile, POTUS scrapped NAFTA & signed the USMCA into law.”
Okay, there a a lot of lies in such a short statement.Bill Clinton understood economics, unlike Trump. When he left office, after reversing the mistakes of Reagan and Bush 41, our nation had a surplus: no national debt. Biden and President Obama, like Clinton before them, worked hard for eight years to save our economy. Bush 43 continued the policies of his predecessors and the result was the great recession of 2008. NAFTA was a success, although it was flawed. Trump’s USMCA is virtually the same plan, with a new name and only minor alterations. Most importantly, it did not bring jobs back to America.
The truth is, before the pandemic began to harm our economy, Trump’s policies were moving our nation towards another recession and adding trillions of dollars to the national debt. His unpopular and unilateral decision to place tariffs on imports resulted in a trade war with China, and more than 300,000 jobs were lost in industries related to his rash decision.
Our economy is nearing depression levels today because Trump refused to make decisions suggested by the scientific community in January. He waited until the middle of March to do anything, causing an economic crash, and the deaths of more than 50,000 American men, women, and children.
So, the next time you hear Trump attacking someone or some organization, depending on the anger displayed by the orange buffoon, you can be sure that that person or that organization is one of the finest in the world.
