In Trump’s Distorted View of America, the Coronavirus has Become a War between Ignorance and Fact

The world remains in a health crisis; a crisis Trump was not prepared to face. From real Americans and real world leaders, Trump’s lack of effort to lessen the severity of this pandemic have earned him a grade of “F.”

He is adding to his stupidity and his failures by encouraging protests in several cities across America with the intention of allowing the American people to end the ‘stay at home’ orders enforced by intelligent and caring governors.

Trump began by ignoring the virus, claiming “it will go away when the weather gets warmer.” Then he asked Dr. Anthony Fauci if the coronavirus could just “wash over us;” he did nothing but talk. When none these tactics succeeded, he began the usual; he attacked governors and the leaders of other nations who took aggressive action to save lives.

What is happening now is a battle between men and women who choose to be ignorant, and those of us who trust scientific fact and the opinions of experienced health officials.

Trump is the king of the land of ignorance in America. He is obviously poorly educated and is too old and mentally deficient to learn anything in his declining years.

Trump has threatened to fire Dr. Fauci. His only mistake? Correcting the mistakes made by Trump during his campaign rallies which he calls “coronavirus briefings.” Trump hates science because science is the study of facts; the truth.

“I don’t know any other way to characterize it, when we have an order from governors, both Republicans and Democrats, that basically are designed to protect people’s health, literally their lives, to have a president of the United States basically encourage insubordination, to encourage illegal activity,” Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat, told ABC’s “This Week,” adding, “To have an American president to encourage people to violate the law, I can’t remember any time during my time in America where we have seen such a thing.”

Although I agree with Governor Inslee’s remarks, he apparently is not aware that Trump’s America is ruled by fascism, not democracy. When he tells members of his cult to jump, they reply, “how low can we go?”

Trump is the third president in Americans history to be impeached. Although the evidence was overwhelming, a submissive Moscow Mitch McConnell made a sham out of his trial in the senate and he was allowed to remain in office. But, should we accept an illegitimate president who is violating his oath of office to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States?” I don’t think so. Trump will never be my president and I hope you feel the same way. I am a loyal American. The people of my country take precedence over the profits of the corporate leaders of our biggest companies.
