Trump is a liar. He is nothing else. His lifetime of accomplishments totals a zero. When his lips or thumbs are moving, he’s lying. Those who work in his administration are nothing but paid liars.
Trump brags constantly about the economy. The good things he claims as his own belong to President Obama; the bad, including tariffs and tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations, belong to the orange man-child.
President Obama was celebrating the anniversary of signing his 2009 stimulus package.
“Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history,” Obama tweeted, alongside a photo of his signature on the bill.
Not only did Trump attempt to lie and claim credit for the accomplishments of a real president, he was livid and threw another of his infamous temper tantrums.
The following will be the lies Trump’s circle of sinners told Fox News today. Although Trump was left with a nation in full recovery, he claims that he is responsible for the economy. The primary reason we know this is a fallacy is because he hasn’t had time to accomplish anything. Between golf, partying at Mar-a-Largo and other resorts, and holding hate rallies, there is very little time. One week ago today his work schedule contained a single entry: “Lunch with Mike Pence.” The remainder of the day he watched television and scarfed down junk food.
“President Trump reversed every single failed Obama-era economic policy, and with it, reversed the floundering Obama/Biden economy,” Trump campaign national press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said. “Obama and Biden orchestrated the worst economic recovery in modern history.”
She added: “By contrast, though, deregulating, lowering taxes, and supporting free-market policies, President Trump has created the hottest economy on record, with unemployment hitting generational lows and all-time lows for African Americans, Hispanics, the disabled, veterans and many other hard-working Americans.”
“Paychecks are growing at the fastest pace in a decade and twice as fast for low- and middle-income Americans,” she continued. “It’s no wonder Democrats seek to take credit for the Trump economy after eight years of betraying blue-collar workers and inflicting pain upon the middle class as Americans everywhere suffered. But the failed days of Democrat stagnation are over, and the soaring Trump economy is here to stay.”
I’m not going to list or rebuke every lie, but here are a few facts. The stock market began to thrive when President Obama was still in office. Corporations and small businesses began to rehire. Trump destroyed many ‘good-paying’ jobs in renewal energy, while creating zero. Paychecks are not growing by more than one-tenth of one percent. Taxes have been lowered for the wealthy and corporations which added 1.2 trillion dollars to the deficit in 2019. The middle class, which is a very small percentage of all Americans, did receive a one-year tax reduction. Cuts for the wealthy are permanent. Although the unemployment rate remains low, working class Americans continue to struggle. At least 50 percent of all Americans are classified as ‘low-income,’ or ‘impoverished.’
The truth hurts, and today Trump is hurting badly. He is an abject failure and the worst thing to happen to America in nearly 244 years.
