If Trump Loved his “Great America,” he would Do the right Thing and Resign; He Won’t

“America First;” “Make America Great Again:” these are just two of Trump’s slogans. It’s a sad fact that he doesn’t mean them. Before the 2016 election it became obvious to real Americans that Trump was seeking the presidency to enhance his personal wealth. He remains the least qualified candidate in history. Trump is well-known for his selfish and greedy actions; actions which only serve Donald John Trump, and no one else. As for being loyal to his country, he is not. His devotion to dictators and murderous autocrats who rule Russia, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, and Turkey are infamous.

On August 8, 1974, to save embarrassment for our nation, and increased division within the country, Richard Nixon resigned as America’s 37th president. The House had begun impeachment proceedings, and even his biggest enemies agreed that his resignation was an act of patriotism.

The two charges facing Trump in his trial in the senate are far more egregious than a second-rate burglary. The truth is that several more charges could have been made, including obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and lying to congress and the American people.

The biggest difference between Richard Nixon and Trump is one of great importance. If a sitting president, by his own words and actions, is not loyal to the United States of America, he cannot remain in office. Trump’s arrogance and enormous ego will never allow him to resign. His level of mental incompetence is proof that he believes he is a king and not a public servant. His low-level of intelligence is a danger to America and the world. When 27 revered psychiatrists offered their opinions about Trump’s mental incompetence early in his illegitimate presidency, he should have been removed from office by his own party during his first year. However, Moscow Mitch and his cronies are cowards and hypocrites. They will never do the right thing for their country. They choose to prioritize their party and their personal ambitions; not 330 million American citizens.

All Republicans should resign. They use their positions for personal gain, and refuse to serve the men and women who elected them. All GOP politicians are tools of special interests.

Take your America back by voting on November 3, 2020. This is our country, not theirs.
