Trump’s Approval Rating Plummets as More Americans Oppose Trump’s ‘Wall,’ and Blame him for the Shutdown

Arrogant Trump

Today, January 13, 2019, Trump’s disapproval rating stands at 57 percent; a drop of five-points since the shutdown began. His approval rating is only 37 percent. 56 percent of all Americans oppose a wall, only 39 percent support it. Most importantly, only 45 percent believe Trump’s claim that there is a crisis at our southern border, while 52 percent say that it is a lie.

In a televised meeting with Democratic leadership, Trump claimed that he was “proud to shut down the government for border security.” He also said that he wouldn’t blame Democrats for the shutdown. Although he and other Republican failures are attempting to switch the blame to Democrats, it’s not working. 55 percent blame Trump and his failed party while only 32 percent of those polled blame Democrats.

Let’s go back to a time just weeks prior to the shutdown. Trump and his party were in complete control of two branches of the government. They waited until the last minute to address the budget. Just days before the deadline, without achieving a completed agreement, a bipartisan plan to extend the government’s operation until February 8th was agreed to and Trump was expected to sign it. But Trump changed his mind after listening to extremists in the “freedom caucus,” FOX Noise, and others such as Ann Coulter. The shutdown is 100 percent a Trump decision.

It is important to note here that all 100 senators approved the extension, but Mitch McConnell now claims that his senate will oppose any agreement which does not include Trump’s “wall.”

Finally, lets tell the whole truth; Republicans have proven that they are incapable of governing America. They are failures and a danger to our nation’s future.
