FOX Noise has earned its reputation. Fox has been the right-wing’s propaganda machine for more than 22 years. It is well-known for its constant lies, its unqualified fake-newsmen and women, and as Trump’s personal liars and cheerleaders.
So, when Trump lackey Lou Dobbs had political hack, Ed Rollins on his failing show, exactly what we might have expected happened. Rollins proved that at 75-years-of-age he is senile, and has little left of his once minimal intellect.
Freshman Representative, 29-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has been constantly attacked by the right thing. Most of the criticism is based on her appearance, her energy, and the fact that she is Hispanic. The reason for all of these attacks is simple; she is the new leader of the Democratic Party. She represents the wishes of America’s largest voting bloc, millennials.
Ms. Ocasio Cortez has suggested that the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share of taxes. Rollins disagreed and attacked her personally.
Rollins told Fox News’ Lou Dobbs on Friday: “If you’re going to put her out front with her mouth … the little girl who wants pre-Reagan economics of 70 percent taxes, the Democratic women are basically going to be damaged.”
First, referring to a woman as a ‘little girl’ is condescending and the most sexist remark possible by an old white “never was” like Rollins. Secondly, he is over-matched by this intelligent bright light in Washington. She tweeted the following.
“GOP loves to insult my intelligence, yet offers *this* as their best + most seasoned opposition to my policy proposals.
“If anything, this dude is a walking argument to tax misogyny at 100% 😉
“Republicans rob everyone the opportunity of real policy debate by resorting to this.”
What do economic experts think about her proposal that Americans with incomes at the highest level pay their fair share for the privilege of living in America and taking advantage of our laws? This would help pay for healthcare, education, and other rights of all Americans, not just the privileged.
But what does Ocasio-Cortez know about tax policy? “A lot,” said the headline of an opinion piece Saturday in The New York Times by Nobel economics laureate Paul Krugman. A similar tax rate was imposed in the U.S. for 35 years after World War II, which included some of the “most successful periods of economic growth in history,” Krugman wrote.
Republicans are living in fear. They are aware that their base is the only demographic which supports the continuation of GOP failures; and they are dying and leaving holes in the party’s declining base. Old, white men and women who claim to be “Christians,” are a voting bloc which is disappearing with each election.
Times are changing. Capitalism has failed the majority. Those who refuse to follow America’s new leaders will be left behind to join FOX Noise as they continue to complain about the return of democracy in America.
