In 2010 the Republican Party began to implode. A new extremist group won elections under the flag of the GOP, but in truth they remain too far to the right to be called ‘Republicans.’ A few years ago, a number of Republicans decided that the TEA Party was not extreme enough so they created the “Freedom Caucus.” This group is so far to the right that they refuse not only to talk to Democrats, they will not deliberate the issues with other members of the GOP. The truth is that they are fascists.
Mick Mulvaney is Trump’s acting Chief of Staff. He is a member of the House Freedom Caucus, and the driving force behind Trump’s declaration that it’s the ‘wall’ or nothing; the shutdown will continue for years. But it won’t, and here’s why.
More than 800,000 government employees are not receiving their paychecks, and only Trump is to blame. Thousands continue to perform their jobs without pay, among these are the secret service, federal prison guards, and the Transportation Security Administration. How long do you believe that these groups will continue to perform their jobs without compensation?
Is it conceivable that government officials could be without protection by the secret service? Is it possible that federal prisons would be open to the inmates? Because of government rules, without the TSA no flights could take off or land at our nation’s airports. Trump would be the reason if any of this happens. He alone is responsible for the shutdown. A bipartisan agreement to reopen the government exists and includes funding for border security, but the whiny baby in the White House wants his ‘wall.’
Mulvaney is bad for America. Trump’s weak mind is easily manipulated if the individual offers him even the slightest amount of praise. Your “Idiot-in-Chief” is an embarrassment to 320 million Americans.
