Shocking: Another Trump Lie about the ‘Wall’

Trump unpopular

“The people of our country want it,” Trump declared at a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room Thursday. Really? Of course not. Border security, yes, but a wall, no. This is a shock; your illegitimate president is lying!

“I have never had so much support as I have in the last week over my stance for border security … or, frankly, the wall or the barrier. I have never had anything like it in terms of calls coming in, in terms of people writing in and tweeting. I’ve never had this much support,” he added.

The facts. First of all, the White House switchboard is inoperable due to the shutdown. A Quinnipiac Poll shows that 54 percent oppose the wall and 43 percent support it. A Harvard CAPS/Harris online survey of 1,407 registered voters conducted Dec. 24-26  found that 56 percent of those surveyed did not support a wall, while 44 percent did. Most importantly, only 35 percent of all Americans polled supported adding money to the budget for Trump’s ‘wall,’ which will not actually be a wall, but a barrier.

Trump and his hypocritical party hate the truth; they cannot survive when facts are revealed. For 30 years the right-wing has been lying to the majority, and with Trump as their illegitimate president the American people have not heard the truth in 23 months and 15 days.

We can rid our nation of those who call themselves “Republicans” on November 3, 2020; this is our country, not theirs.
