The “wall,” Syria, and Jim “Mad Dog” Mattis; three mistakes which will cost Trump the support of his party.
Trump has had a very bad month, and the last week may be fatal to his illegitimate presidency. Seventeen investigations are currently looking into Trump’s past and present actions. He has been under attack from his own party. In the last week he made a unilateral decision to remove all American troops from Syria, fire the only stabilizing voice in his cabinet, against the advice of his supporters, and shutdown the government because the bully-child didn’t get his way.
Trump was advised not to remove our troops from Syria. It was his decision alone. He has received much criticism from his own party for this action which many experts believe will make Syria and Northern Iraq more vulnerable to an ISIS insurgence.
Jim Mattis subsequently resigned as Secretary of Defense. In his letter of resignation, he revealed his many disagreements with Trump’s national security policies, and the final decision was a result of Trump’s refusal to accept the advice of experienced national security advisers.
The Republican Party continues to wait until the last minute to debate the budget. When funding was not included for Trump’s idiotic wall, another government shutdown loomed. Initially, Trump agreed to extend the budget until February 8th. After criticism from extreme-right activists he reneged. The orange man declared that if funding was not included, he would shutdown the government; he kept his promise.
These three decisions resulted in heavy criticism from many long-time Republican leaders.
Trump is spending 16 days in Mar-a-Lago. He and other millionaires will celebrate the New Year while more than 100,000 government employees will not receive a paycheck. By the way, if you don’t know what this means, I’ll tell you.
The men and women who actually work in Washington will not have a ‘Merry Christmas.’ However, Trump and congress will continue to receive their paychecks; paychecks they do not deserve; they have done nothing for nine years, 23 months and three days.
Meanwhile, your illegitimate president will ignore his duties and eat chocolate cake and prime rib while real Americans suffer. Trump is self-absorbed and has not shown concern for any other American in his pitiful 72 years and six months.
Begin encouraging your family and friends to vote on November 3, 2020. This is our country, not theirs. We can win the second American Revolution.
