North Korea is putting nuclear warheads on its missiles. The White House is in chaos. Healthcare is in trouble after Republicans failed to write a “biglier” bill. The concerns about the debt ceiling are being ignored. But Trump began a 17 day vacation last Friday without a single accomplishment to his credit after more than six months in office; one-eighth of his term. And let’s not forget that Trump promised his supporters that he would not have time to golf he’d be so busy ‘working.’
This is what Trump calls ‘working:’ watching FOX Noise, playing golf, holding rallies, and occasionally greeting foreign guests. And here’s what he should be doing.
Trump should be meeting with the top ranking members of the CIA and the DNI, along with his Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, at least twice daily until something is resolved regarding an escalating North Korea situation. Trump is simply proving that he is not a legitimate president and does not know the definition of ‘work.’
In July of 2015, Trump said the following after chastising President Obama for taking vacations and playing an occasional round of golf.
“I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done,” Trump said in July 2015. “I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.”
Let’s see. When the source for this article was published, Trump had been in office 196 days. He has been away from the White House 41 of those days. During the same time period, President Obama was away for just 21 days. Naturally George W. Bush holds the record at 67 days.
What is much more important is the fact that when Trump was in the White House for those 155 days, he spent most of his time watching cable television.
However, Trump promised the American people that he could ‘handle North Korea.’ Just today after he received the news that North Korea was arming its missiles, Trump offered Pyongyang a ‘stern warning.’ He’s got everything under control; at least until Alaska is attacked.
Please re-post; thank you.
