In January of 2009 Mitch McConnell told the American people that his party would do nothing as long as a black president was in office. For eight years he kept his promise. Now he and Lyin Paul Ryan are struggling to learn how to govern.
McConnell has failed to represent the American people for over 30 years, and now believes that he can move the Republican Party’s agenda forward. So, how’s that working for you Mitchy?
After following McConnell for many years, I know that he lacks the ability to learn from his many mistakes. He proved it recently when he attempted to rush through a poorly written and harmful healthcare plan. Writing it behind closed doors, without input from one Democrat, and denying participation from female senators, it was destined to fail. McConnell was the biggest complainer about the complicated content of Obamacare, claiming that Republicans were not included in its writing, and that Democrats were ‘rushing the bill through congress.’
McConnell attempted to pass Trumpcare in just over two weeks, and no one was allowed to see its contents until just before a vote was planned. Obamacare took eleven months, and there were many committee meetings and open discussion. The term is ‘hypocrite.’ In addition, the ‘Republicans only’ bill contained 40 pages; Obamacare was over 2,500 pages long.
McConnell’s arrogance and lack of ability to repeal and replace Obamacare may be a fatal blow to Republicans.
Ignored to now has been the deadline to raise the ‘debt ceiling.’ Once again, Republicans have no plans.
Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders released the following statement.
“To ensure that we have robust economic growth and promote fiscal discipline, the Trump administration believes it’s important to raise the debt ceiling as soon as possible,” she said at her daily press briefing. “Over the past two decades, members of Congress and presidents from both parties have raised debt ceiling 15 time and we look forward to working with Congress to ensure the full faith and credit of the United States government.”
The problem is that she is speaking to two men; McConnell and Paul Ryan. These two men place their party ahead of the nation, and have already proven that they are unable to govern.
History proves that since 1980, Republican administrations have failed our nation and harmed the working class. Time for change. Time to eliminate Republican control of the White House and congress; they simply don’t know what they are doing.
Please re-post; thank you.
