Elizabeth Southerland earned $249,255 last year as the director of the Office of Science and Technology in EPA’s Office of Water. Although she loved her job, she resigned in protest to the policies of Scott Pruitt and Donald Trump.
“The proposed FY18 budget cuts to state, tribal, and federal environmental programs would result in thousands of jobs lost in the short term, in EPA, state and tribal governments, and the private environmental consulting firms which support those governmental agencies,” Southerland said.
Environmentalists all over the world are very disappointed with Trump’s refusal to sign the Paris Accord. His denial regarding climate change placed America in a position with only two other nations on the planet; Syria and Honduras.
His selection of former Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt as the director of the EPA was a clear signal that big business was in control of America; the people be damned. Selecting a man who frequently sued the EPA; representing big oil; is a crime against humanity.
Trump is not an American president; he opposes everything which made our nation respected around the world.
Please re-post; thank you.
