A White House in Turmoil

Trump (5)

Prior the the past week, the White House was dysfunctional and confused. As of today it is in complete turmoil. The firing of Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus culminated a week of strange and unhinged behavior by Trump and his circle of sinners.

Trump has been kindly described as ‘unpredictable.’ A better description would be ‘mentally unstable.’ This has resulted in a single consistency; resignations and firings throughout Trump’s staff. Applications to fill positions in many crucial areas are not forthcoming, including FEMA, and NOAA with hurricane season approaching. Trump’s weak temperament is to blame.

Several notable individuals have been fired by Trump, and have caused ‘self-inflicted’ wounds. Removing Reince Priebus, James Comey, Michael Flynn, Sally Yates, and Preet Bharara have all caused ripples in the administration of Donald J. Trump.

The firing of Reince Priebus came just days after Anthony Scaramucci was appointed White House Communications Director. It was obvious from day one that Scaramucci was Trump’s ‘lackey,’ and had received authority greater than his pay grade; he is Trump’s ‘hit man.’ His vile and embarrassing attacks against Priebus and Chief Adviser, Steve Bannon, resounded through Washington, offering additional proof that this White House has no class; no civility.

There is little doubt that Priebus was ineffective, and held his title in name only. However, Trump has proven once again that ‘loyalty’ is a one-way street for your illegitimate president.

The firing of FBI Director, James Comey, began a firestorm. Trump admitted that his rash action was the result of Mr. Comey’s refusal to end his investigation into Michael Flynn and Russia’s interference in our election. Trump’s poor decision led directly to the appointment of a special investigator, Robert Mueller. The investigation has intensified and now includes, Jeff Sessions, Jared Kushner, Ivanaka Trump, and Donald Trump Jr.

The firing of Michael Flynn was forced. When it became evident that Mike Pence failed to vet Flynn thoroughly before he was appointed as Trump’s national security adviser, there was no choice. Flynn immediately became the centerpiece of the investigations.

Sally Yates, who was the acting Attorney General was fired for not obeying an illegal order from Donald Trump; she refused to uphold Trump’s Muslim ban.

My responsibility is to ensure that the position of the Department of Justice is not only legally defensible, but is informed by our best view of what the law is after consideration of all the facts,” Yates wrote in a letter. “In addition, I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution’s solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right.”

The Supreme Court will decided the final outcome of Trump’s ban during its next session.

Preet Bharara was the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. He was ordered to resign by the Justice Department, and when he refused, he was fired.

Mr. Bharara was investigating several business ‘deals’ made by Donald Trump, as well as ‘Trump University,’ and the ‘Trump Foundation.’

Trump demands unbridled loyalty, but don’t expect the same in return.

Please re-post; thank you.
