All the talk in congress is about Trump’s thinly veiled intentions to either force Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign, or he will be fired. Anger, directed at your illegitimate president, is understandable. Trump has used personal attacks hundreds of times and proves that he is not presidential. However, Sessions continues to make his personal beliefs a priority.
Throughout his career Sessions has displayed his support of white supremacy. Now he is attacking the LGBTQ community. The Justice Department is claiming that they are not protected under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, or the 14th amendment. According to Sessions and his department, the LGBTQ community are not ‘Americans;’ they are not citizens of the United States.
The bottom line is that Sessions should not have been confirmed by the hypocritical Republican Senate. Every Senator in Washington was aware that he would not protect every American’s Constitutional rights. He would make efforts to imprison more African Americans and prevent the LGBTQ community, Muslims, and women from their rights of equal protection under the law; and this is just what he is attempting to do.
Sessions and Trump have enjoined in the belief that all illegal residents of the United States should be deported. Many of these men, women, and children are far more ‘American’ than the former Senator from Alabama. He does not believe in the Constitution; he supports a nation where old, white men are superior and lord over all other residents of our nation.
Sessions was another mistake by Donald Trump and his cowardly party. However, he should not be fired for following the rule of law.
Trump is displaying his own desperation. His collusion with Vladimir Putin and lies to the American people are soon to be exposed, and his illegitimate presidency will end.
Trump’s supporters should have elected an American as our nation’s leader, not Donald Trump
