Trump’s biggest promises were: “Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it:” “Prevent Muslim ‘terrorists’ from entering the United States:” “Repeal and replace Obamacare on day one:” and “Establish a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton.” We should add another two: “I won’t have time to play golf; I’ll be making great deals:” and “You’ll be so tired of winning, you’ll say ‘please, stop.’”
So let’s grade Trump and his hypocritical party after six very long months in power.
Trump’s wall is not in the budget. He now claims that it must be clear, to ‘prevent those strolling by from being hit in the head by 50-60 pound bags of drugs.’ Really? Experts have proven that this monstrosity would be a waste of money. The largest cartels do not cross our borders in this manner. In addition there are areas on our borders which will not allow a wall to be constructed. Finally, the cost would be 10 to 100 times higher than Trump’s estimates. Grade: “F”
Although we must wait for the Supreme Court’s next session to fully understand if Trump’s Muslim ban will be upheld in part, in its entirety, or not at all, it is ineffective today. Multiple federal judges; judges I doubt Trump knew existed before he was gifted the presidency by the Electoral College; have declared most of his plan unconstitutional. Grade: “D-”
Lyin Paul Ryan capitulated to the same members of the House who are responsible for John Boehner’s resignation from his position as both the Speaker and as a representative. He rushed through a bill I believe he knew would never succeed. Trumpcare became the opposition war cry of millions of real Americans who have benefited from Obamacare, and who would be left without any health insurance under Trumpcare.
Arriving in the Senate, it appeared dead on arrival. Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell bowed to his fellow white supremacist and illegitimate president, Donald Trump, and attempted to rush through a senate version of the bill which was worse than that of the House. He and 10 other male, Republican senators composed their pitiful effort behind closed doors. Not only did Democrats have no idea what was contained in this disreputable piece of garbage, no Republicans not included in McConnell’s “he-man woman haters club” were allowed to know its contents.
Lacking the support of at least 50 Republicans, McConnell did not bring the bill to a vote.
Trump was plainly pissed off. McConnell’s evil reputation was in danger. Trump suggested that they should pass a bill to repeal Obamacare and replace it at a later date. Then he changed his mind, possibly remembering his promise to his supporters, and demanded that it be repealed and replaced, although the bill would remove 22 million Americans from receiving healthcare.
Tuesday evening, nine Republican senators voted in opposition to the senate version. Today seven Republicans voted against a measure which would repeal Obamacare and allow a two year extension where Republicans could rewrite their failed bill. Another failure for Trump and McConnell. Susan Collins of Maine, Dean Heller of Nevada and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, John McCain of Arizona, Rob Portman of Ohio, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Lisa Mukowski of Alaska all voted against McConnell. Grade: “F-”
I must offer a note here. I claimed all along that Republicans did not plan to replace Obamacare; their only goal was to repeal a part of the President’s legacy. Now that this has failed, there is more proof that Republicans cannot govern and lack leadership.
Trump has made no effort to investigate Hillary Clinton. Why? Because there is nothing to investigate. However, a special prosecutor, Robert Mueller, has been appointed to look into probable collusion between Trump and Vladimir Putin in our 2016 election. Many members of Trump’s campaign staff, his son, Don Jr., and son-in-law, Jared Kushner all met multiple times with well-known Russian agents. Grade: “F”
The CBO reports that 32 million Americans would lose their healthcare if Obamacare was repealed.
Finally, Trump constantly criticized President Obama for playing golf. He told his supporters that he would not have time for golf, “making great deals for the American people.” Trump has spent more time playing golf than time spent in the Oval Office. When he’s not on one of his golf courses, he is watching cable news, FOX, listening to Alex Jones ‘InfoWars,’ or listening to the latest radio broadcast from Breitbart. Grade: “F-”
If you remain a Trump supporter, you are in denial, and are likely to suffer from the actions and inactions of the worst president in America’s 241 year history.
As for winning; you and your loser friends continue to wait for number one.
Donny Boy, you are a big loser. You have failed not only the majority of the American people who did not vote for you, but also your supporters who choose ignorance over reality. Do my country a favor and go back to your golden tower where you can watch FOX Noise, and eat junk food whenever you please.
Please re-post; thank you.
