Denial will not keep Trump in the White House. As many more incontrovertible facts come forward, Trump and his Republican cronies are acting in desperation. Their attempts are focused on discrediting information and those who offer that information. However, Trump’s own actions, and actions by his family and campaign staff are continuing to fuel the fire.
It’s hard to say who is the biggest liar in the Russian investigation. Jared Kushner omitted at least three meetings he attended with Russian agents during the campaign from his SF-86 security clearance form. Paul Manafort worked for the Putin-supported leader of Ukraine, and was at one time 17 million dollars in debt to Russia. But Jeff Sessions may wear the crown. He denied any meetings with the Russians; we know that he was lying. A new revelation about phone conversations between him and Sergey Kislyak has sparked additional interest.
The phone calls were originally revealed by the Washington Post after they were intercepted by U.S. spy agencies.
This initiated another flood of tweets from Trump, but the senior senator from Iowa, Chuck Grassley, also became involved.
“So much speculation on CNN [about] Session/Russian [phone] call bc of intelligence leak,” Grassley wrote in a tweet. “LEAKER: stop tease/leak entire conversation/end speculation.”
Trump also complained about the “leaks,” without expressing any concern regarding Sessions numerous lies.
“A new INTELLIGENCE LEAK from the Amazon Washington Post, this time against A.G. Jeff Sessions. These illegal leaks, like Comey’s, must stop!”
Let’s get to the truth here. These attempts to divert the American people from the facts is pitiful. It is Trump’s job to govern our nation, and it’s the fourth estate’s job to reveal political corruption and offer information to the American people. This is our country, and Trump is a public servant. Until he destroys all of our democracy, he is not an autocrat.
Finally, when your illegitimate president asked his lawyers to find out if he could pardon himself, there can be no greater admission of guilt. Soon Trump may be pardoning himself for treason.
Please re-post; thank you.
