First of all, I understand Trump supporters who wanted change in Washington. For most of President Obama’s two terms, congress’ approval rating was barely above 10 percent. The ‘do nothing’ Republican Party failed to pass one significant piece of legislation in eight years.
So, unless you are a white supremacist and a bigot, like Trump, I empathize with you; to a point. Unless you are in complete denial, you must be aware that Trump has failed to keep a single campaign promise, and has accomplished nothing; zilch; during six months in the White House.
Are you allowing Trump to ‘con’ you by blaming everyone else for his failures? Although it is true that Republican politicians are unable to govern effectively, it is Trump’s lack of leadership, experience and qualifications for the failure of every proposal he attempts.
Yesterday after the Republican controlled senate abandoned its efforts to repeal Obamacare and pass Trumpcare, Trump blamed Democrats. Let’s be completely honest here. This deplorable bill was written behind closed doors by Republicans only. Democrats were not invited to participate, nor were female Republicans. You cannot blame someone for your failures when they were never included in the discussion.
You cannot discount the facts; Trump has a close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He had two meetings with Putin at the G20 Summit which were congenial. At the same time he was alienating our allies. Putin is an autocrat who has his detractors murdered; there is no free speech in Russia. Is this Trump’s suggestion; his ideal government? We know that he hates the first amendment; especially the guarantee of ‘freedom of the press.’
Here’s my biggest concern about all of you who continue to support your president. Ignorance is sad. Ignorance by choice is unacceptable, and brings to question the intelligence of that individual. Trump is causing enormous harm to our nation today, and will have lasting effects for decades. He has intentionally divided our nation, by chastising, not serving the majority of Americans; those who did not vote for him. He has created the most partisan level of politics I have ever witnessed; the opposite of what he promised you. He has not ‘drained the swamp;’ he has created a larger cesspool by selecting unqualified advisers whose only goals are to increase their personal wealth.
I listened to one of you who was asked about the latest revelation that Don Jr. held a meeting with five Russians in Trump Tower in June of 2016. This young man said that this was ‘fake news.’ Really? Junior himself released e-mails he sent to Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort stating that this meeting would occur, and that information damaging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign would be the subject of the conversation. This young man chose to be ignorant and remains in denial. I can’t feel sorry for him; only pity.
Please re-post; thank you.
