“I’ll be making so many deals, I won’t have time to golf.” “You’ll be winning so much, you’ll get tired of winning.” Everyone knows now that these were early lies by Donald Trump when he was seeking votes. He has played more rounds of golf in six months than any politician in history; and as far as ‘deals,’ there have been none. The second quote was a mistake. Trump meant to say: “You’re going to lose, and you’d better get used to it.”
The bottom line is that Trump only cares about himself. Nothing could offer more proof that he is a non-working and illegitimate president who thinks about no one else than his most recent round of golf.
Every time Trump plays a round of golf at his Virginia club, two miles of the Potomac River is shut down to canoes, paddle boats, kayaks, and row boats as ordered by the secret service. This has occurred five times since March.
Amanda Faulkner is the Coast Guard Lieutenant in charge of this area. She has suggested that the area on the Potomac next to the golf course be designated as a “permanent security zone.” Boaters would not be forced to alter their path without notice; they would know which areas were restricted.
“In a lot of ways this is better for the public, because they have more information,” Faulkner said.
Not everyone agrees with her.
“It’s just heartbreaking,” former marine John Deitle told the Post. He uses a kayaking program for wounded and disabled veterans at Riley’s Lock which would be blocked off under the new policy.
“Granted, it’s his golf course… but he has other golf courses,” said Deitle.
“This is a river-access issue. It’s not a political issue,” Canoe Cruisers Association Chairwoman Susan Sherrod told the Post.
Trump believes that being the president is a game. He also believes that the American people are his servants.
Every day Trump finds a new way to destroy freedom in America and embarrass himself and our nation.
His supporters should demand that he works at least five days a week. Playtime is over Donny Boy. You made a lot of promises; maybe you should try and keep just one. You can’t blame congress for anything if you don’t participate in the work involved in passing legislation. It’s time to get off of the couch and stay away from golf courses and get your old, fat derriere moving; try working for those who were ignorant enough to elect you.
Please re-post; thank you.
