Someone inform Trump that we will never allow him to recreate the United States into his dream of a fascist state. He is not smart enough to institute Hitler’s form of government, and America is not 1930’s Germany. He has already eliminated our two-party system by his totally partisan efforts to exclude Democrats from participating in our government.
His latest effort to destroy democracy involves the fourth amendment.
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
To sum it up, the fourth amendment guarantees our right to privacy. Trump is attempting to trivialize our right to vote, guaranteed by the first amendment to satisfy his fragile ego. He badly lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton, but refuses to accept facts unless the originate From FOX Noise, Alex Jones, or Breitbart.
Trump has wasted more taxpayer time and money by establishing the “Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.” He appointed Kansas’ Attorney General, Kris Kobach as its ‘vice-commissioner.’ Mike Pence is the chair.
On Wednesday Kobach sent letters to the governors of all 50 states. He asked for ‘voters’ names, birth dates, the last four digits of social security numbers, voting histories as far back as 2006, whether they had been convicted of felonies, whether they were registered to vote in any other states, as well as other information.’
Now let me tell you a true story. I worked for the 2000 decennial census in Reno, Nevada. My final position was ‘Assistant Manager of Field Operations.’ I was responsible for counting all of the people in Northern Nevada who did not receive mail-out questionnaires. FOX Noise lied repeatedly, telling the American people that they were not required to fill out a census form, and that the government wanted all of your personal information. They made my job, and the jobs of those working for me more difficult, and could cost the citizens of my state the money we need for many state operated services.
Nothing could have been further from the truth, and every employee took an oath to protect the privacy of those we interviewed. A violation could result in a $100,000 fine and/or 25 years in federal prison. There has been a census every 10 years since 1789 when a Constitutional law was passed requiring it to be conducted. The first census was supervised by Thomas Jefferson.
The information Kobach asked for is far, far more intrusive than what the census seeks to obtain. The census is the manner in which states are returned money from income tax for road repair, new schools, additional fire protection, and other necessary services. For each person counted, nearly $1,000 is returned to the states each year.
My enumerators were well-trained and would never have asked for most of the information Kobach is requesting. This is a direct violation of fourth amendment rights.
44 of our 50 states have flatly denied Kobach’s request. They fear lawsuits by citizens who would be angered with the release of personal information.
Trump believes that he is ‘Hitler reincarnated.’ So far all that he has accomplished is to become the most hated man in the world. Almost 70 percent of the American people do not trust their illegitimate president, and that figure is even greater in Europe and Asia. Very early in his illegitimate presidency, only the citizens of Russia trusted Trump, and even that percentage has declined.
If a man or woman lies to me about one, single thing, they have lost my trust and respect for a lifetime. Trump has yet to tell the truth once. “If his lips are moving, he’s lying.”
This commission is a fraud; an attempt to redirect public attention from the fact that he colluded with Vladimir Putin to defeat Hillary Clinton. He has also aided Russian oligarchs with their efforts to launder their fortunes through the purchase of American real estate; you’ll be hearing more about this very soon.
Please re-post; thank you.
