“When we win on November 8th and elect a Republican congress, we will be able to immediately repeal and replace Obamacare. Have to do it. I will ask Congress to convene a special session so we can repeal and replace, and it will be such an honor for me, for you, and for everybody in this country because Obamacare has to be replaced and we will do it and we will do it very, very quickly.”
Trump made this promise to his supporters on 11/1/2016 while holding a rally in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. It was one of 68 times he made the same promise. But, as spin doctor Kellyanne Conway said herself; ‘it was only a campaign promise.’
Trumpcare passed in the House on May 4, 2016; three months after he promised. It was passed by two votes; none were Democrats. It has been denounced by every healthcare organization in America, and will do more harm than good.
Now it is struggling in the Senate. The American people’s approval rating for his piece of trash has dropped to 15 percent, and actually removes additional funding from Medicaid.
Because Trump is completely ignorant about the workings of government, he has become impatient to pass legislation which involves one-sixth of the American economy, and affects tens of millions of the American people. Therefore, Trump has decided not to ‘replace’ Obamacare with a bill of his own.
“If Republican Senators are unable to pass what they are working on now, they should immediately REPEAL, and then REPLACE at a later date;” Trump tweeted.
My, how things change when the bully doesn’t get his way immediately. Here’s what he said just 10 days before his tiny inauguration.
“I feel that repeal and replace have to be together, for very simply, I think that the Democrats should want to fix Obamacare,” Trump said in a Jan. 10 interview with the New York Times. “They cannot live with it, and they have to go together.”
Now for something unusual in the media and from our government today; the truth.
The House attempted to repeal Obamacare without planning for a replacement 54 times in four years. Albert Einstein said: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Lyin Paul Ryan, Mitch ‘the traitor’ McConnell and other Republicans have sought the destruction of your healthcare for over seven years, They had no intention to replace it then, and Trump and his cronies have no intention of replacing it now.
This situation is nothing more than another con-game by Donald
Trump; ‘tell the people what they want to hear, and then do whatever you actually planned to do.’
Recent polls reveal Trump’s downward path with American voters. 57 percent trust the media, while 31 percent believe in Donald Trump. Because of the hypocritical actions of the House and Senate, led by Lyin Ryan and McConnell, voters would like to see Democrats regain the control of congress by a margin of 54 to 38 percent.
Trump has accomplished only a single thing which has positively affected the majority of our nation’s people; his illegitimate presidency has exposed Republicans for what they really are; hypocrites who place their party first, and do not possess the ability to govern the United States of America.
If our nation can survive Trump’s tenure in the White House until November of 2018, we can take our nation back. All voters must become Independents and vote for candidates who will represent you and yours. If you are thinking about voting for a man or woman who has an “R” next to their name, I must offer another fact; the GOP has existed in name only for more than 20 years.
Please re-post; thank you.
