Republicans Prove that they Are unable to Govern, and Are the Reason for our Dysfunctional Government

Hypocrites

The basic reason our government is broken can be traced directly back to January of 2009 when old man and traitor to the American people, Mitch McConnell, stood before a microphone and told the American people that his party would do nothing until Barrack Obama was out of office. He kept that promise; Republicans did nothing for eight years, and that is one of the primary reasons we have “Trumpenstein” today.

Today there is a single situation in Washington which proves that although Republicans control Congress and the White House, they remain unable to govern effectively; they’ve done nothing for five months.

I’m certain that all of you are tired of this ridiculous rush by Republicans to repeal Obamacare. Anyone who truly knows what is happening in Washington today knows the outcome. Because they control both houses, the hypocrites in the GOP will find a way to pass the worst bill in modern history. They are bowing to the maniacal despot in the White House.

Everyone is aware of the details of how badly Trumpcare will harm the majority of the American people and be a huge tax break for the one-percent. My point is that the manner in which this is taking place displays how unqualified, and how unprincipled Republican politicians truly are.

Let’s begin with the passing of Obamacare.

President Obama signed the ‘Affordable Care Act’ on March 23, 2010. It was deliberated, and re-written multiple times in the eleven months required to pass the bill. Republicans ranted and raved that they did not receive sufficient participation in its construction. They also claimed that before it was passed, they were not allotted enough time to read all 2,300 pages. They stated that eleven months was far less time than needed to pass a bill which would affect one-sixth of the nation’s economy.

Forward to June, 2017. After the 46 pages of Trumpcare passed in the House by a single vote; a bill which was written in less than two months; every medical association in the United States lambasted its contents; as you all know.

Traitor and old white supremacist, Mitch McConnell, is trying to keep pace with Lyin Paul Ryan. He is pushing to pass Trumpcare in ten days. The only senators who know what is contained in their version of the bill are locked behind closed doors. Thirteen men, (no women allowed), are the only senators who will know what they are voting for or against on the day the bill is put to the full vote of the senate. There have been no committees, and no deliberation. McConnell promised his fuhrer that he would get Trumpcare passed before the July 4th break; and it doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad.

Democrats are complaining that they have not been allowed any input into the process; it has been rushed into a vote; and they will not have time to read the bill or offer input before the vote. Sound familiar?

When our founding fathers created our democratic republic, they were fully aware that deliberation and compromise would result in good government. Neither of those exists today.

The GOP has moved so far to the right, they refuse to talk to Democrats and Independents; they just say “no.” With the integration of the TEA Party in 2010, the Republican Party was a party without unity. The Freedom Caucus in the House has doubled down on the party’s division.

Republicans do not know how to govern the United States of America. They serve their masters, the one-percent, and refuse to consider the needs and wishes of the majority. They broke America, and with Trump as their leader, only a small piece of democracy remains.

Vote them out; it’s your country and you have the right and the duty to take it back from the most corrupt party in our nation’s history.

Please re-post; thank you.
