Conspiracy theorist and deplorable human being, Alex Jones, believes that the slaughter of 20 small children and 6 educators on December 14, 2012 at Sandy Hook Elementary School was a hoax. I once believed that no single individual could spread more hate, more lies than Rush Limbaugh. Jones makes Limbaugh look like an amateur.
Regardless of how despicable Jones may be, NBC and their new and disreputable fake-journalist, Megyn Kelly, is offering Jones a one-on-one platform to spread his lies and fallacious opinions. It will be aired this Sunday night.
Nelba Marquez-Greene’s daughter was six-years-old when she was killed by a bullet from an assault rifle in the possession of Adam Lanza. She was one of 20 children whose lives were prematurely terminated at the hand of a mentally deranged young man.
At the time this occurred, I was a reporter for the Las Vegas Guardian Express. I reported events as they happened. I was shaken, and I was in an emotional state of disbelief that something this vile could happen in my country.
Ms. Marquez-Greene viewed the NBC broadcast. She was horrified. “To give Alex Jones a platform on Father’s Day is especially cruel to me,” she told The Washington Post.
I refuse to watch broadcast news. Before Trump’s illegitimate election, I began my day with local news, followed by “CBS This Morning.” I once had great respect for two individuals I believed to have journalistic credibility. Charlie Rose and Nora O’Donnell were once respected members of the fourth estate. CBS, NBC, and ABC have chosen to follow the lead of FOX Noise. Advertising and ratings take precedence over the facts needed by the American people.
To allow known liars such as Kellyanne Conway, Newt Gingrich, or an Alex Jones on their broadcasts is a disservice to the American people. We deserve the truth, not ‘alternative facts.’
Kelly has no principles and joins others who appear on television who place personal gain above integrity and real journalism. Millions of dollars in income each year obviously changes people.
Ms. Marquez-Greene offered a personal comment about Jones. “Shining a light works on cockroaches,” she said. “It doesn’t work on Alex Jones.”
A la Donald Trump, Kelly refused to reply to real journalists. She defended herself and NBC in a tweet.
“POTUS’s been on & praises @RealAlexJones‘ show. He’s giving Infowars a WH press credential. Many don’t know him; our job is 2 shine a light.”
Knowing that we have an ignorant, unfit, and illegitimate president watching FOX Noise and Alex Jones while eating Kentucky Fried Chicken on the White House sofa, does not justify offering Jones an opportunity to speak on broadcast television.
I would say that I’m disappointed in Ms. Kelly, but I’m not. She is an entertainment personality, not a journalist, and is acting in a manner expected by myself and others. The years she lied on FOX Noise defined her then and define her today. Kelly’s efforts during the first Republican fake-debate to derail Donald Trump’s campaign were pitiful, and displayed her lack of morals. She does not disappoint; she disgusts me.
Please re-post; thank you.
