Once again I must make the claim that I seriously believe that Donald Trump is mentally incompetent to be the President of the United States. His weak temperament and need to have his ego stroked frequently, combined with his inability to control his emotions is proof that Trump is either suffering from growing senility, or is mentally ill.
Although Trump and his circle of sinners are in denial, he is witnessing the escalation of investigations into his close ties with Russia. He has been reported to be ‘despondent.’ Neither Trumpcare nor Tax Reform is moving in the Senate. Today the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the freeze on Trump’s self-proclaimed travel ban for Muslims. And it’s only going to get worse for your illegitimate president.
So what did Trump do? He called a cabinet meeting; but it never took place. Instead the event became a “praise fest” for Donald Trump, and it appears to be just what Trump had planned.
It began with Trump speaking of his “many accomplishments.”
“Never has there been a president….with few exceptions…who’s passed more legislation, who’s done more things than I have.”
Okay. But to be very honest, I have not witnessed a single accomplishment in nearly five months. Not a single piece of legislation has been passed; not one campaign promise kept.
Okay, he needed that, and we’ll let him get away with that blatant lie.
Then came the strange part. He turned to newly appointed cabinet secretaries; acknowledging each one. In turn the heaped lavish praise on the ‘orange man.’ But that wasn’t the strangest part. It quickly became evident that he expected each cabinet member to praise him; and they did. And nothing else happened at this ‘love in.’ CNN Editor Chris Cillizza wrote; “it appeared to be more like an episode of ‘The Apprentice.’”
I seriously believe that it’s time to invoke Article 25 of the Constitution. Section 4 reads as follows.
“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”
Our country is in grievous danger. Although the president is not all-powerful, as Trump believes, he wields certain powers which could destroy our nation and the world. Republicans must cease their hypocrisy and do what is right for the nation. Sadly, with a total lack of qualified leadership, this is very unlikely.
At the very least, Trump must undergo a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. Never before in our nation’s history has one man refused to act presidential and no one has stood up for the people.
Please re-post; thank you.
