Before I delve into the idiocy of your illegitimate president’s lies about the Paris Accord, and coal production, let’s look at the facts. There remain only 51,000 coal mining jobs in the United States. Natural gas has replaced coal in most of the nation. Trump’s executive order aided the owners of coal mines, not the workers themselves. Okay, now we’ll discuss Trump’s fallacious remarks.
“The bottom line is that the Paris accord is very unfair at the highest level to the United States. Further, while the current agreement effectively blocks the development of clean coal in America, which it does. And the mines are starting to open up, having a big opening in two weeks, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, so many places. A big opening of a brand, new mine. It’s unheard of. For many, many years that hasn’t happened.”
First we must understand why Trump’s claim that the Paris Accord is unfair and blocks coal production. This is a non-binding agreement. It is nothing more than a promise to reduce pollution from carbon emissions. Nothing more.
As for ‘clean coal,’ there is no such thing. Coal mining and the use of coal pollutes the air more than any other single process used to produce energy. It is also of great danger to the men and women who mine the caustic material; black lung disease continues to exist.
Trump’s statement that new mines are opening in Pennsylvania and West Virginia are true, but they will not produce ‘thermal coal;’ the substance used for heating and to create steam in factories. They will mine ‘metallurgical coal’ which is used in the production of steel.
How does this relate to the Paris agreement? The Paris Accord mentions ‘thermal coal’ only. Although the use of all coal pollutes, there is no suggestion or stipulation about ‘metallurgical coal.’
Once again, ‘if Trump’s lips or his little thumbs are moving, he’s lying.’ Donald Trump’s illegitimate presidency will fall, and it will fall because of lies and omissions from Trump and his circle of sinners. Everything from blatant falsehoods to omitting information on their security clearance forms will eventually force them from the White House.
After former FBI Director James Comey testified Thursday, the media stated that the choice for the American people is ‘who do you believe?’ That should not be a question. Comey is known for his integrity, while Trump is known for lies and attempts to bully his adversaries personally and professionally.
Time to say ‘bye bye’ to Donny boy; we won’t miss you.
Please re-post; thank you.
