My grandmother said: “If you don’t know anything, don’t say anything.” This would be good advice for Donald Trump. He knows nothing about anything; especially the Middle East, and should keep his big mouth shut.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Bahrain have said that they will cut air, sea, and land links with Qatar. They claim that the small nation supports terrorists across the region. Trump is siding with the four nations and attacking Qatar, although we have a huge air base in the country with 10,000 American servicemen and women stationed there. He has not learned lessons from past mistakes made by other foolish and ill-informed politicians; don’t get involved in Middle East politics.
“So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off,” he tweeted. “They said they would take a hard line on funding extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar.”
He is too stupid to realize how well the Saudis played him, and played to his ego. He is also ignoring the fact that 15 of the 19 terrorists who attacked our nation on 9/11 were Saudi nationals, not from Qatar.
The Pentagon, which actually understands something about the region, displayed cooler heads and spoke in calmer tones.
“We recognize that there are differing views in the region that have gotten us to this point,” it said in a statement. “United States and the Coalition are grateful to the Qataris for their longstanding support of our presence and their enduring commitment to regional security. We have no plans to change our posture in Qatar.”
If Trump’s ignorance about the Middle East costs a single human life, maybe it’s time for a military coupe in the United States, supported by the vast majority of the American people. Trump’s inexperience and refusal to learn how to perform his job has already cost America the life of one Navy Seal in Yemen.
A State Department official also made a calming statement while the Secretary of State is in New Zealand.
“A strong, united front among our key partners is the best way to overcome our shared challenges,” this official said, also speaking only on condition of anonymity.
Tillerson was speaking in New Zealand and included the situation in the region, but failed to take sides as did your illegitimate president.
He states that “all” countries in the Persian Gulf “have work to do” in ending their support for extremism, and encouraging them to “resolve this through dialogue.”
This is what happens when the court jester is placed on the throne. Not everyone can be a leader, and most cannot be the President of the United States. Trump is unfit for either job description.
127 days in office, and far fewer in the White House, have proven that Trump must be removed before he destroys America.
Get involved, and let’s get him out.
Lock him up.
