If Your Are not a Trump Supporter, Stay Away from Montana

Gianforte

If you are a Trump supporter, and you attended his rallies, you believe in his message; hatred and violence. You might be a resident of Texas, Alabama, Georgia, or Mississippi. You might also be a resident of a red western state, Montana.

Two days ago, the Republican candidate for the state’s lone seat in the House, Greg Gianforte, body slammed and punched a reporter from the Guardian. He was unprovoked, and eventually charged with assault. Yesterday he won that seat.

My advice to anyone who is not a Trump supporter, and once considered vacationing in Montana is to stay away. Avoid a state which accepts violence, and encourages it if you don’t agree with their politics.

This is another example of the ‘Trump effect.’ The people of Montana join Trump in his hatred of my America. They support white supremacy, Islamophobia, homophobia, and sexism.

I am an original ‘baby boomer.’ I listened to my uncles talk about the terrors of WWII. I was 10 years old when one of the generals who led them into battle, Dwight D. Eisenhower, ran for his second term in office. President Eisenhower spoke of war, and violence in general.

I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.”

He would have despised Trump and his supporters.

This world of ours… must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect.”

The voters of Montana, and Trump supporters in general are the worst of America. They denounce the Constitution and reject the advances made in our society over the last 60+ years.

So my advice to all Americans who want to visit the west this summer is to go to California. The Golden State offers everything that Montana offers, and much, much, more. If you refuse to accept Trump as a legitimate leader of our nation, as I do, you will be welcome.

If you enjoy being beaten and receiving verbal abuse; go to Montana.
