On Monday, the White House press corps was treated to a demonstration of what obviously occurs frequently in the West Wing. After it was revealed that Trump gave classified information to his Russian guests during a secretive meeting in the Oval Office, a screaming match could be heard inside of the Cabinet Room. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Steve Bannon, and Sean Spicer were engaged in a heated argument.
Obviously they were angry about the exposure of Trump’s misstep, but the real argument was likely about how to ‘spin the truth.’ In other words, which lie would sound the most outrageous.
The only requirement for a position in the Trump White House is the ability to lie with a straight face. If a single truth is offered during the interview, the applicant is immediately rejected.
What Trump’s press secretary did was simply refuse to discuss the issue. Of course there had to be at least one denial of the truth. That was supplied by National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. “The story that came out tonight as reported, is false.”
The truth is that as additional information is discovered about the relationship between Vladimir Putin, and Trump, it is obvious that your illegitimate president has been a Russian agent for many years. He is guilty of treason. Every action taken by the White House is a gift to Putin. Every close adviser to Trump has ties with Russia, including his son-in-law and his family. Ivanka’s clothing line is manufactured in a Russian sweat shop.
I can see the smiles on the faces of reporters as the argument developed. It would have been great fun to be there.
