I thought I’d take a little time to talk about everyone in the White House except Donald Trump, and how they must hate their lives. If you’ve ever had the misfortune to watch Sean Spicer’s attempts to spin Trump’s numerous lies, you must feel a little sorry for him. On Tuesday, when he literally hid in the bushes after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, you probably chuckled, and felt pity for the man later. The only person I know in his circle of sinners who enjoys her despicable job is Kellyanne Conway; this defines her character, or more importantly her lack of a moral center.
When Trump’s spokespersons are constantly contradicted by their boss, the job is impossible, and demoralizing. Not only does it display a lack of credibility by Trump, it places every individual on his staff in a precarious and tenuous situation.
The biggest problem for Trump’s communication staff is just that; communication. His penchant for tweeting in the early hours of the morning, without consulting his Director of Communications, removes all possibility of preparing accurate statements to the press or the American people.
“As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!” @realDonaldTrump posted. “Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future ‘press briefings’ and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???”
Accuracy? Really? Trump has failed to be accurate 100 percent of the time; and that is the problem. As for being an ‘active president,’ watching FOX Noise or golfing is not being ‘active.’
Recently a member of his communications staff was speaking with a reporter from the ‘Daily Beast.’ The reporter interrupted the man, and informed him that Trump was tweeting at that very moment. The man stopped to read the tweet, rolled his eyes, and simply said “Jesus.”
If you’ve had more than one job in your life, you have had a minimum of one supervisor who was incapable of communicating information to his or her subordinates. Trump is extreme. His temperament is so weak, he has become entirely unpredictable, and chooses not to communicate with his staff before tweeting to the public.
We all know that Trump is a worse public speaker than George W. Bush. Possibly the only way he is able to inform anyone of his beliefs is to use twitter.
I wrote this because when I’m researching information, I often read contradictory statements from Trump staffers. Once I was watching a video of an interview with Mike Pence. He was asked a question for which he obviously was not prepared and had no answer. Just briefly Pence raised his eyebrows, which to me spoke a simple phrase; “oh s**t; not again.”
