Ivanka’s book, “Women Who Work: Redefining the Rules for Success,” was released today, and the reviews are in. Let me say, before I offer some of the quotes, the overall opinion is that she must have received her degree from Trump University. It was free for her, so why waste money on an accredited university?
First of all, let me tell you that this is not a piece designed to malign Ivanka Trump; I don’t know her, and I don’t want to. However, I respect her about as much as I do her father. Both lie and mislead the American people, and both claim to place America first, but have their manufacturing businesses overseas, where they pay their employees a few dollars a day. Truth is not something either of them understand; they are self-centered and ignorant about the lives of real Americans.
Some of the reviews are very damning about both the content of her book and the lack of information offered to the reader.
“Witlessly derivative,” said The New York Times’ Jennifer Senior.
“A grab-bag of generic work-life advice,” wrote Emily Peck of HuffPost.
“It is really vapid,” is the opinion of Slate’s Michelle Goldberg.
“Trump’s lack of awareness, plus a habit of skimming from her sources, often results in spectacularly misapplied quotations,” said NPR’s Annalisa Quinn.
To sum up the opinions of qualified literary critics; ‘don’t waste your money. If this was intended to be a ‘self-help’ book, it failed miserably.
Here’s my question: Why would Ivanka think that she could write a book apparently intended to help women in the workplace? She has never worked a day in her life. When I began writing I took the advice of my favorite authors; they all said the same thing, ‘write about something you know.’ There is no possible way that Ivanka can understand the difficulty of a single mother who is forced to work three minimum wage jobs to support herself and her children. She is a 35-year-old woman who had no role models in her life. She was born wealthy and she will die wealthy.
One final honest statement. How can Donnie boy or any of his spawn believe that they can play a role in politics? They know nothing, have done nothing, and will never do anything for the American people; they simply aren’t interested.
Throw the bums out, and give them Ivanka’s book to read while they wait in the unemployment line. Yeah, like that would ever happen.
