Right wing extremist and separatist, Marine Le Pen was defeated in France today by Emmanuel Macron. Macron is a centrist who not only promised to cure his nation’s problems but to heal the floundering European Union.
Le Pen is the daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, and nearly doubled the percentage of votes her father won in 2002 at 35 percent. However, the 88-year-old Le Pen did not support his daughter.
“Marine hasn’t got what it takes to be president”: Le Pen’s father launches scathing attack on his ‘ungrateful’ daughter’s capabilities on the eve of the French election.
However, before the television blackout on Saturday evening, he did ask people to vote for Ms. Le Pen.
Le Pen had called for the cessation of immigration not only by Muslims, but from any nation. She stated that she was also in favor of further isolating her nation by joining France in exiting the European Union.
Macron is a moderate, and promised to work within the present system; repairing its ills; and working with other European nations to solve the numerous problems facing the continent.
It appears that France’s voters carefully evaluated the repercussions of radical change, unlike millions of uninformed and ignorant Americans.
I guess that we’re getting what we deserve. Sad; so sad.
