Everything Trump does is a first, and everything Trump does destroys more of our democracy. If our congressmen on both sides of the aisle had one ounce of courage they would stand up to him and tell him to act like an American or resign. In addition, he must be ordered to stop his spending spree. We can’t afford to support a member of the royal family and his spawn.
Trump’s latest fascist move is unforgivable. He will be the most secretive resident of the White House in 241 years. His cronies claim that the purpose is to prevent “grave national security risks and privacy concerns.” If there was a grain of truth in that statement he wouldn’t have opened classified documents in the dining room at Mar-a-Lago.
The truth is that Trump doesn’t want the American people to know that he is secretly meeting with Russian agents, the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, or Alex Jones.
“The only excuse for this policy is that the Trump administration has something to hide,” said David Donnelly, president and chief executive of Every Voice. “This kind of secrecy will allow big donors, lobbyists and special interests to have unknown levels of influence in the White House. It’s the exact opposite of ‘draining the swamp.'”
Mr. Donnelly is correct. Trump has created a larger cesspool and everything about his administration stinks.
And Trump has proven to be a huge hypocrite. He constantly complained about a real president’s golf trips; Double Dealing Donnie has spent more time on a golf course than sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office. In 2012 Trump tweeted: “Why is @BarackObama spending millions to try and hide his records? He is the least transparent President — ever — and he ran on transparency.” That’s hypocrisy.
Trump doesn’t get it; you and I are his employers; not the other way around. He is nothing more than an overpaid caretaker.
On November 8th, 2016 millions of Americans voted to end democracy; they’re getting what they wanted.
