Paul Ryan and other Republicans Running Away from Voters: Part of the Trump Effect

Ryan (2)

On November 9th, 2016, protests began against a new and illegitimate president-elect. Angry men and women across the nation were marching because a man without morals; a confirmed racist; and a sexual predator would be living in the White House. The fact that he was unfit to lead our nation was obvious, but these protests were most directed at the man himself. Protests continue today, and include actions taken by Trump which adversely affect the majority of the American people.

The result of Trump’s illegitimate win is the ‘Trump effect.’

Let me be clear; Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Ted Cruz, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and other Republicans who denounced Trump six months ago are now bowing to his every demand. The term is “hypocrite.” All Republicans have lost the respect of the American people.

Now these same traitors are refusing to defend the wishes and needs of the American people in support of their fuhrer. The result is being voiced by voters across the United States. Republican politicians have experienced angry crowds during town hall meetings, which are filled to capacity and then some. Voters have appeared at offices of Republican Congressmen and Senators demanding to speak to him or her. Many GOP hypocrites have run from their constituents, including Mark Amodei and Dean Heller in my own state of Nevada.

Paul Ryan is the worst of the worst. Republican voters and Independents such as myself once believed that he was a flicker of light in a dark and dying party. We were wrong. He was the most vehement critic of Trump in congress; until he was gifted the presidency by the Electoral College.

Ryan is a Republican first, and a lifelong politician. The anger and disgust he displayed towards Trump prior to November was purely political strategy. He, like most of America, believed that Hillary Clinton would win the election. Therefore, he would be able to stand before his constituents and claim a moral victory for himself. Big mistake.

Ryan is now avoiding the voting public.

Congress is on another vacation; they “work” only 100 days a year. The people of Wisconsin have demanded that Ryan hold a town hall and address their concerns. Ryan said “no;” he is at Universal Studios in Hollywood.

Republicans have displayed a belief that they are better than the average American, and rule over us; they refuse to serve the people who are the United States of America. They work for us.

Issues such as healthcare, education, taxation, and the environment are important to all Americans; unless you are a Republican politician. Ryan is one of the party’s leaders, and is therefore representative of his entire party. The GOP is divided because for more than 20 years it has been led by ineffectual men. Reince Priebus, Mitch McConnell, and Paul Ryan are not only failed leaders, they lack the will and ability to govern.

Here are the numbers; 34 Senators, nine of them Republicans, and 435 Congressmen are up for reelection in 2018. Show support for yourself and your family; remove all power from your despicable president. Vote all Republicans out of office.
