Trump Doesn’t Get It: Bullying Government Will Not Work

arrogant-trump

Every day Trump exposes his complete ignorance about the workings of government. We know from former business associates that Trump’s “art of the deal” consisted mostly of bullying his adversaries. This didn’t work with Trumpcare, and it never will be effective. Trump is a public servant; he is not a king.

Trump instructed Steve Bannon to meet with the “Freedom Caucus” before a vote was to be taken last week on the “repeal and replacement of Obamacare.” His tone was dictatorial.

Guys, look. This is not a discussion. This is not a debate. You have no choice but to vote for this bill.”

A single response defined the group’s attitude.

“You know, the last time someone ordered me to something, I was 18 years old. And it was my daddy. And I didn’t listen to him, either.”

The ‘Freedom Caucus’ is a small extremist group, and one of the reasons the Party of Destruction is divided. Today Trump threatened them once again.

“The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast,” Trump tweeted. “We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!”

This tactic didn’t work for John Boehner, and it’s not working for Paul Ryan.

Trump obviously and erroneously believes that the American government can be run like a business. The CEO of a corporation can and often does bully his subordinates. Here’s the truth.

Trump views Congress as subservient to his ‘dictatorship.’ He is completely ignorant and fails to understand that all three branches of our government are equal; each with certain defined powers. Trump obviously has not read the history of our nation. To eliminate the possibility of a ‘king’ emerging from political ambition, our founding fathers established a ‘check and balance’ system of government. Trump’s powers are extremely lessened when he fails to deliberate and compromise.

Trump underestimates the ego and resolve of Congress. He just challenged an extremist group who will now have every issue Trump supports in their cross-hairs. Trump’s next reported plan is to reduce taxes for the one-percent. It is likely that the Freedom Caucus will approve at least part of his plan, but Trump may receive dissent from other groups within the Party of Destruction. Who will he threaten next time?

This is what happens when voters elect the least qualified candidate in American history. They chose a man who is not only immoral, and a bigot, they have an illegitimate president who lacks all ability to govern; he chooses to dictate and dictators fail in a democracy.

One way or another, Trump will fall down and be eliminated from his residence in the White House; the honeymoon is over.

Saturday is “Fire the Fool” day. November 2018 is coming soon.
