Saturday morning Trump’s handler, Steve Bannon, appeared before the Freedom Caucus. The first big challenge for Paul Ryan and the Trump White House was at stake. Bannon attempted to bully this group of extremists.
“Guys, look. This is not a discussion. This is not a debate. You have no choice but to vote for this bill,” Bannon reportedly told the assembled members.
Although Trump bows to his every demand, this group of Representatives didn’t allow Bannon to force them to change their minds. One member of the Freedom Caucus shouted out the following.
“You know, the last time someone ordered me to something, I was 18 years old. And it was my daddy. And I didn’t listen to him, either.”
This singular event may be the most demonstrative proof that not only do Trump and his circle of sinners have no clue what they are doing, they underestimate American politicians and the will of the people. I believe that Bannon must look at the mandate of Abraham Lincoln.
“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it.”
Trump is a smug and arrogant man. He is typical of a spoiled American who has never struggled; never sacrificed anything for anyone else other than himself. Together, he and Bannon represent the worst of the American political system; two politicians whose goals are related to their personal advancement.
Here’s the truth, and some good news. When Trump goes, Bannon goes. With them will go Robert Mercer’s money. “Good riddance to bad rubbish.”
2018 is near.
