Republicans Prove my Claim that They Cannot Govern Effectively

For more than eight years I have claimed that Republicans have no idea regarding how to effectively govern the United States. They have suffered through ineffective leadership for nearly 20 years. Today’s “leaders,” Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, have failed their country and their party. Their policies of what I call ‘negative leadership’ are destructive and moved our nation backwards instead of forward.

In November, uninformed and ignorant voters elected the worst possible man as their illegitimate president. Trump is the least intelligent and least qualified Republican politician in history. He is driving the GOP further into the depths of stupidity and ignorance.

The last two days have proven my claims. Since 2010, Republicans in the House have attempted to repeal Obamacare more than 60 times. They had no plan to replace it; they simply sought to remove healthcare from millions of low-income and impoverished Americans. Albert Einstein said that “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” It required 14 months to develop the Affordable Care Act, and when it was completed I was aware that it had flaws. Because of constant Republican demands to alter the bill, it could only be labeled as “a beginning.”

When Trump became your illegitimate president, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell gathered their forces and made their first priority a goal to “repeal and replace” Obamacare. They attempted to formulate a plan in three weeks.

Every analysis of ‘Trumpcare’ exposed a plan which would harm millions of Americans in our nation, benefit the wealthy, and remove those who most need it from the ability to have adequate healthcare. The costs of Trumpcare for those currently enrolled in Obamacare would become prohibitive, and the deductibles beyond the expectations and ability to pay for most.

Ryan worked closely with the man he vehemently denounced until he became your illegitimate president. His only goal was to repeal Obamacare. He had no interest in replacing it with a plan which would work for most Americans.

Trump demanded that his plan be adopted yesterday, the 7th anniversary of the passing of Obamacare. It was not. Ryan promised that it would be passed today; it was not.

As Trump attempted to prove his ability to “make a deal,” resistance within the GOP guaranteed his failure as a leader. More importantly, it proved that Paul Ryan will never be effective as the Speaker of the House. Although he was expected to be a more able leader than his laughable predecessor, John Boehner, he may actually prove less effective.

Long before the election I wrote about the divisions within the Republican Party; the last two days confirmed that they are far worse than I previously claimed.

For GOP politicians, party comes first; winning elections is the way they maintain power. They have no concern for our nation. The people compose the United States of America, but they ignore that fact. They are oligarchs who believe in personal ambition and supporting those who support them.

In two days they have proven that Republicans lack the ability to govern. The GOP is non-existent. It has become the party of old, white, rich men who view the America of our founding fathers as an idea which should be forgotten.

Use your vote in November of 2018; vote the bums out of office.
