When Trump was candidate Trump, he made many promises; he has kept none. One promise above all was a priority for millions of Americans; not to disrupt social security and Medicare. Trump promised he would “save Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security without cuts,” he pledged during his announcement speech. “Have to do it.”
It should be of no surprise to anyone; Trump was lying.
Trump frequently repeated his promise in an attempt to distance himself from the other passengers in the ‘clown car.’
“I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid. Every other Republican is going to cut.”
Trump is supporting the multi-flawed the “American Health Care Act.” Among many other travesties, this failed plan would cut $880 billion from Medicare, and throw tens of thousands off of Medicaid.
Trump also promised to “repeal and replace” ‘Obamacare’ with a much better plan where everyone would have coverage. Once again, his lips were moving.
“Trumpcare” would remove 24 million Americans from affordable healthcare. It would be more costly and virtually eliminate low-income and impoverished Americans from purchasing Trumpcare.
“A typical working-class 64-year-old who makes $26,500 annually would pay nearly $13,000 more in premiums every year.” My wife and I have an income of less than this amount. We survive, and $13,000 is a small fortune to the two of us. This plan will only be available to wealthy Americans.
As ‘Lyin Ted’ stated during the campaign: “Donald Trump is a pathological liar, and a serial philanderer.”
Here’s my question: Why is the media allowing Trump to offer the American people hundreds of lies every week, and not expose him. No other president in our nation’s history has received such an enormous free pass.
So, what can we do? Without a bloody revolution, the American people have but a single weapon; we can vote. If, for the first time in history, our nation experienced a 100 percent turnout at the polls in the 2018 midterm election, we could return control of the House and Senate to Democrats. The American people would once again have powerful representation in Washington.
Follow the lead of America’s female population; find your ‘cojones.’ Courage and resolve can defeat Trump and his circle of sinners.
Join the ‘peaceful,’ but powerful revolution.
