It’s a toss-up whether Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren is the most popular Senator in Washington. We know who it isn’t; traitor Mitch McConnell.
McConnell has been the most destructive member of the senate in United States history. He led obstructionists for eight years, and is now attempting to rush through the nominations for Trump’s cabinet, and will do the same for Gorsuch, his nominee for the Supreme Court.
Yesterday he made a serious mistake; or should I say ‘another serious mistake?’ During the hearings for Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, he interrupted Elizabeth Warren’s reading of a letter by Martin Luther King’s widow, Coretta Scott King, written 30 years ago when Jeff Sessions was being considered for a federal judgeship. He was denied when accusations of racism emerged.
McConnell, the antiquated white supremacist from Kentucky, claimed that Warren ‘impugned’ another senator, and it was upheld by another Republican who was chairing the hearing.
“The senator is reminded that it is a violation of Rule 19 of the standing rules of the Senate to impugn another senator or senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a senator,” said Sen. Steve Daines, R-Montana, who was presiding over the Senate at the time.
If ‘impugning’ is defined as telling the truth, Sessions has more sheets hanging in his closet than I previously believed.
Republicans share three things in common; they hate the truth, ignore facts, and are lacking in intelligence when they engage in a battle of wits. The actions of these two failed Republicans has raised the level of respect for Senator Warren; it completely backfired. She has become an instant hero for Trump detractors.
After leaving the Senate chambers, Senator Warren read the letter in its entirety on Facebook.
“The letter is powerful. The letter is deeply moving, and the letter is an important historical document,” Warren told Don Lemon on “CNN Tonight.” She later added: “They can shut me up, but they can’t change the truth.”
McConnell is America’s greatest traitor. Examining his damage to our nation over a far too long career, he is worse than his master, Donald J. Trump. McConnell consistently places his party first; often damaging the lives of the vast majority of the American people.
This old, white, southern man is a perfect example of why term limits are a must. McConnell, Graham, McCain, Hatch, and many others have raped the American people for far too long. They became wealthy at the expense of our nation and our people. The have been far more destructive than beneficial; time for them to go and be forgotten.
