Once again, to refresh your mind, the definition of ‘fascism.’
“A political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.”
Trump’s has already established most of the steps to change America from a democracy into a fascist nation. He requires total allegiance to himself, seldom asking opinions even from those closest to him. His inauguration speech centered around national pride, and denying the importance of other nations. His ‘executive orders,’ cabinet nominees, and selection of ‘advisers’ are a thinly disguised effort to force our nation to accept plutocracy. The middle class will disappear, and income inequality will widen. He plans to remove government support of healthcare for millions of Americans, which will become nothing less than the murder of thousands of low-income individuals. Trump has surrounded himself with those who share his belief in white supremacy. The most important and obvious of Trump’s efforts is his plan to curtail free speech and the right of the press to report the facts; Trump hates the first amendment. He constantly seeks revenge upon anyone who opposes him. Republicans have bowed to his every demand, and he has become an autocrat. His most recent action, completing his plans for a fascist regime, was to forbid entrance to our nation by refugees from seven Muslim nations, returning students, and businessmen, but not from Saudi Arabia where 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were raised.
This action has literally resulted in chaos and fear around the world. Immediately men, women, and children from those nations who had already received visas to enter the United States were halted at airports around the world.
Lawsuits have already been filed with the assistance of the ACLU and the NILC. Thousands of students returning to the United States will not be able to continue their studies. One Iraqi, who aided our soldiers during Bush’s war, began to cry when he was detained at New York’s Kennedy Airport.
This is pure fascism. Trump is displaying that there is little difference between himself and the dictators of the Soviet Union, or even Adolf Hitler in Germany.
Trump’s bigotry is a shame upon our nation. Most of the American people are embarrassed as Trump removes all remaining vestiges of the principles which offered our nation an opportunity to become a great nation.
Even Trump’s most ardent supporters must now understand the the slogan on Trump’s foolish red hats; “make America great again;” was actually a euphemism for “make America white again.”
