The Law Does Not Apply to Trump: But It Should

We know that the law does not apply to Donald Trump. He is a self-proclaimed criminal who admitted to bribing public officials in the interest of advancing his businesses. He has stolen from his own charitable foundation. Because he’s not black, like Bill Cosby, he hasn’t been charged after the allegations of more than a dozen women accused him of sexual assault. Trump believes that he is above the law, and therefore invincible.

Donald Trump is not my president, and he shouldn’t be accepted as yours. He is the most immoral and corrupt man in America who became the illegitimate president-elect thanks to the aid of outside sources, and ignorant voters who failed to be informed.

Trump is now about to defy the law once again. He will violate legislation established in 1967 regarding nepotism. Trump is selecting his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as a chief adviser in the White House.

Washington University government ethics expert Kathleen Clark explained the reason for these laws.

We have anti-nepotism laws in the federal government and in lots of state governments, because the practice of hiring relatives undermines public confidence that the government official is actually finding best person for the job. What are the chances that the best person for the job just happens to be a relative, right? In addition to the problem of public confidence, hiring a relative also causes problems within the government organization. It can undermine the morale of government officials. It can cause confusion about what the lines of authority are; in other words, the relative may have a particular title, but many may perceive the relative’s role as even more important than the title would suggest. It may be very difficult to say no to the president’s son-in-law. It may be very difficult to say, That’s a bad idea’ to the president’s son-in-law, in a way it would be easier to say those things to someone whom the president hired but isn’t related to someone who’s not the father of his grandchild or grandchildren.”

One of the greatest evils created by our government in the last 20 years is a lack of transparency. The American people are the composition of the United States of America. The government we elect is intended to serve us; not rule us. During the last 20-plus years it has become an oligarchy, and under Trump it will be a plutocracy. The danger is great; a plutocracy can only exist under fascist control.

Once again, I must declare that if you voted for Trump, you are not only a fool, you voted to end the American dream of our founding fathers.
